    POSITION OVERVIEW:

    Guardian’s rapid expansion requires a top tier Field Service Sales Manager to support our growth. This position is based in Auburn, WA and is responsible for the success and development of our Roofing and Gutter sales teams. We are seeking a dynamic leader who is consistent and thorough with feedback and relentless with follow up to drive growth within the department. The ideal candidate possesses a proven track record of leading sales teams that consistently improve average ticket and close rate while excelling in a demand service business with direct homeowner interactions.

    The Sales Manager will work closely with the Guardian Roofing General Manager to support sales growth, increase conversion rates and oversee all aspects of the sales department’s daily operations.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Motivate, lead, and develop roofing sales and service teams while driving the department to meet and exceed benchmark sales goals
    • Coordinate with senior leadership on company direction and growth trajectory
    • Thoroughly interview candidates for qualifications in relation to position requirements
    • Prepare daily/weekly/monthly performance reports as well as lead weekly sales meeting(s) in conjunction with ownership and Guardian’s sales training experts
    • Master current sales process, role play, and continue to enhance sales process
    • Learn to use Roof Snap (within 30 days) and assist with maintaining software and accurate pricing
    • Thoroughly interview candidates for hire and train new sales team members as well as taking responsibility for accountability
    • Conduct routine employee evaluations/reviews while coaching on best practices and follow through to increase conversion rates
    • Coach and encourage financing to improve close rates
    • Perform weekly ride-alongs with sales team members based on closing rates:
      • 2 ride-alongs per week if total close rate is in excess of 50%
      • 3 ride-alongs per week if total close rate is between 40% and 50%
      • 4 ride-alongs per week if total close rate is <40%
      • Failure to comply with ride-along requirements forfeits monthly override bonus
    • Maintain the company vehicle in accordance to the cleanliness standards outlined in the Company Handbook and internal paperwork. Additionally, the company vehicle is one of the best billboards at the Company’s disposal. With that in mind, park the truck for the maximum impact of the “billboard” whenever possible
    • In some instances, climb onto accessible roofs sometimes 40’ feet high, with visible acuity to see far away

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • 5 years of demonstrated sales management experience in the demand home service space
    • Experience in roofing, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical would be valuable
    • Successful history of building teams with direct responsibility for hiring/terminating employees.
    • Ability to manage high volume workload with competing and changing priorities.
    • Familiarity with basic dispatch software.
    • Knowledge of residential roofing system such as Composite, Shingle, Shake, Flat and Torch varieties is a plus.
    • High level of computer proficiency.
    • Prior experience creating and delivering an in-home sales presentation.
    • Willing to work evenings and weekends to help sales team accomplish goals including in the field training
    • Must be able to climb ladders
    • Must be able to climb on roofs, sometimes up to 40 ft tall
    • Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. at times

    COMPENSATION:

    • The compensation package will be highly competitive and will include a company provided vehicle and gas card, as well as a monthly stipend for the first 2 months of employment followed by a 100% commission only structure. The percentage of commission per sold job will vary based on the type of job sold. In addition, Guardian provides Medical, Dental and Supplemental Insurance plans as well as a 401-K.
