Optician measures and fits contact lenses and eyeglass frames based on prescriptions written by ophthalmologists or optometrists. Takes precision measurements of eyes using a pupilometer and other devices to ensure proper fit of eyeglasses or contact lenses. Being an Optician assists and advises customers in selecting frames based on their prescription, lifestyle needs, and style preferences. Inspects lenses for quality, fits and adjusts eyewear, and repairs eyewear as needed. Additionally, Optician instructs customer on correct eyeglasses and contact lens care and maintenance. Both our locations have beautiful optical shops with a great range of frames for patients of all ages, styles and price points. We offer a tiered portfolio of Essilor lenses as well as being a Neurolens retailer. We edge some jobs in house using stock lenses and are looking for someone who loves the complete job - from frame styling, to explaining the best lens options and working closely with our entire staff.
