Optician
We are looking to add to our fast paced, growing medical office looking for a Full-Time Optician to join our team. We are seeking a motivated, team oriented, hardworking, and dependable team player that is able to work in a fast paced environment and learn quickly.

Optician Job Duties:

• Welcomes and greets all patients and visitors warmly, in person or on the telephone.
• Ability to sell premium quality glasses and contact lenses.
• Fitting, adjusting, and dispensing glasses.
• Appointment scheduling, in person or by telephone.
• Monitor patient flow and communicate effectively and tactfully with patients and coworkers.
• Maintains cleanliness in the reception area.
• Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating patient information.
• Verify patient insurance eligibility for each visit. Submit vision insurance claims
• Inform patients of their financial obligation and collect appropriate copays at time of service.
• To be familiar with our optical inventory and products to provide the most appropriate selections for the patient.
• Protects patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Qualifications include:

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Customer service and good telephone etiquette are a must.
• High level of organizational skills, able to multitask.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficient in the use of computer programs and office equipment.
• Detail oriented, willing to learn and highly motivated Self-Starter with the ability to work independently and as a team.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Job Type: Full-time

• Employee are expected to work 5 days a week.

Benefits: We offer full time hours, Retirement- Simple Plan after required employment period, PTO and Holiday pay after 1 year of employment at office.

• Pay will be discussed at interview and will depend on experience, bilingual would be a plus!
