Optometrist provides primary care and medical treatment to patients with visual system disorders and diseases. Examines patients' eyes to detect and diagnose vision problems, diseases, and other conditions, such as diabetes or hypertension. Being an Optometrist develops treatment plans and prescribes eyeglasses, contact lenses, and/or medication to treat eye disorders. Educates patients on proper eye care and treatment plans. Additionally, Optometrist requires a doctorate degree. Requires Licensed Optician. Requires State License to Practice. Typically reports to a manager.     RESPONSIBILITY:

    Scribe/Tech: Responsibilities included pre-testing patients for the doctor, and entering dictated information by the doctor and other healthcare providers while in the exam room with patients. Fast-paced environment. Attention to detail and excellent people skills are a must. Experience with optical or desire to learn.

    REQUIREMENTS / EXPERIENCE

    • Proven skills in English usage, spelling, grammar, punctuation, style, and editing.
    • Ability to learn new computer software quickly and accurately.
    • Ability to enter data into word processing, and EHR medical software accurately at an above-average pace
    • Excellent collaboration, listening, communication, patient interaction, and teamwork skills
    • Experience as a scribe for an Eye Care Practice desired or willing to learn

    RESPONSIBILITY: Optician: Fast-paced private eye care practice looking for a team member. Attention to detail and excellent people skills are a must. Experience with optical sales a must. Only Experienced Opticians Need Apply.

    REQUIREMENTS / EXPERIENCE

    Ability to relate and understand the patient's needs with eyewear. Ability to fit patients with proper material, size, coatings, and measurements. Have an understanding of sales concerning the eye care industry. Ability to understand the patient's insurance and recommend the right eyewear for them.

    -Proven skills in English usage, spelling, grammar, punctuation, and editing.

    -Ability to learn new computer software quickly and accurately.

    -Ability to enter data into EHR medical software accurately at an above-average pace.

    -Excellent collaboration, listening, communication, patient interaction, and teamwork skills a must.

    - Revolution EHR & Office Mate / Exam Writer experience a plus but not required.

    -Some Lab Experience a plus but not required

    -Process lab orders and check the material ordered. Balance invoices and credits for frames, lenses, and contacts at month-end.

    -Process returns for credits and follow up and follow through.

    -Cut lenses, check-in orders, call Patients for pick up of orders, scan documents into their Chart.

    Job Type: Full-time


    Salary: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
