Stellenbeschreibung

Tipico is looking for a MySQL Database Administrator to join our team. Grow with us, introduce us to new ideas and develop products that maximise the thrill of sports for our customers. Every day, you’ll work in a highly collaborative and agile environment with cross-functional team members to develop products and create technical solutions that push us forward.

Your playing field:

• We strive for excellence: You will be engaged in the operation and automation of our MySQL Database infrastructure in AWS 
• We take care of everything! Backup, Operating System (RedHat), Monitoring, Automation (Puppet, Ansible, Python, Bash) and Infrastructure as code (Terraform)
• We keep the ball rolling and you will help with performance optimization and tuning of Tipico´s MariaDB databases
• You will provide self-service tools for Developers (DB Automation Jobs, Jenkins, Rundeck)
• You will evaluate Cloud Database Solutions (RDS/Aurora)
• You will implement solutions using Terraform
• You will consult and advise on questions related to Databases especially for Developers (schema design, performance tuning, query optimization)

Qualifikationen

Which skills should you bring to the pitch:

• Proficiency. 2 years of experience in the administration of database systems
• Strong Database skills. Deep knowledge with MySQL/MariaDB, practical experiences in Terraform and profound knowledge with other provisioning tools (Puppet or Ansible)
• Cloud technologies. Knowledge in AWS Cloud
• Scripting. Knowledge in any scripting language (Bash or Python)
• Language. Fluent in English
