Organizational Development Director directs the design, planning, and implementation of corporate organizational development programs, policies, and procedures. Approves change management initiatives and suggests enhancements to existing programs. Being an Organizational Development Director oversees the development of programs to build human capital and a strong employee development culture. Reviews key performance metrics to enable accurate and valid measurement of workforce performance and to identify areas for improvement. Additionally, Organizational Development Director proposes changes to organizational structure to leverage talent and provide development opportunities to key leaders in the organization. Develops systematic collection and evaluation of performance metrics. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Organizational Development Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be an Organizational Development Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. Regularly meets with managers and department leaders to understand the business outcomes essential to their success and designtraining programs that equip staff with the required skill and knowledge to achieve the quality, financial and customer service goals. 2. Continually plans, assesses and evaluates training and OD services against the organization's strategic and business plan. 3. Designs, develops, implements and evaluates training for all levels of staff to support competency in areas that are critical to the organization. 4. Consults with HR and other Directors to ensure training is designed to meet the needs of the learners. Seeks to improve training methods and delivery processes and monitors training quality. 5. Provides training needs assessment, reporting, recommendations for learning content, effectiveness assessments including ROI, learning impact, etc. 6. Performs coaching, consulting, analysis and assessments to promote continual individual and organizational performance improvement. 7. Other duties as assigned.
