Organizational Development Manager manages all aspects of organizational development. Oversees the development of training programs, facilitation of change management initiatives, and review of current development programs to ensure linkage to company goals. Being an Organizational Development Manager develops programs to build human capital and a strong employee development culture. Facilitates the development and implementation of employee performance measurements to gauge the success of programs and identify areas for improvement. Additionally, Organizational Development Manager assesses leadership development, team development, and organizational communication programs and practices. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Organizational Development Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an Organizational Development Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Overview

    The Senior Organizational Development Specialist will spearhead the design, implementation, and assessment of learning and development initiatives. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to identify needs, curate innovative learning experiences, and foster a culture of continuous growth and development.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead and assess the Managers training program, including new manager development, leadership experiences, and offering coaching.
    • Collaborate with onboarding team to design and facilitate manager orientation and training sessions, aligning with organizational culture, values, and mission.
    • Develop and deliver training on performance management processes, including resources for building a performance-driven culture and succession planning.
    • Facilitate training sessions aligned with college strategy and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), upskilling, reskilling, and providing coaching to managers and employees.
    • Conduct 360-degree feedback assessments with managers to gather insights into strengths, areas for development, and leadership effectiveness.
    • Lead the analysis, design, development, implementation, and facilitation of enterprise-wide learning programs and inclusive organizational and team development workshops and experiences using various modalities.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to assess learning needs and design customized interventions effectively.
    • Collect and analyze feedback on learning activities to enhance program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
    • Utilize HR analytics to track leadership continuity and recommend educational opportunities for skill enhancement.
    • Address individual, team, and organizational topics through problem-solving, dialogue, and conflict resolution skills.
    • Stay abreast of best practices in employee learning systems/processes and integrate them into program design and delivery.
    • Provide thought leadership and expertise in needs assessments, consulting, and learning solution design.
    • Assume additional responsibilities as required to support Learning & Development objectives.

    Requirements

    WHAT EDUCATION AND SKILLS YOU WILL NEED

    • Bachelor’s Degree.
    • A minimum of 8-10 years of successful experience in coaching, consulting, learning and development, or organizational development.
    • Must have superior verbal and written communications skills.
    • Understand human systems, the fundamentals of change management and uses principles to coach, advise and problem-solve.
    • Proficient in delivering presentations and facilitating learning across diverse environments, with the ability to simplify complex systems, ideas, or processes for effective learning outcomes.
    • Must have strong coaching, listening, and trust-building skills.
    • Knowledge of human development and various leadership tools and assessments.
    • Excellent problem-solving, objectivity, and critical thinking skills.
    • Ability to work with diverse staff and faculty.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
    • Motivated, independent learner with a passion for organizational development.
    • Flexibility to adapt to changing conditions and embrace new ideas.
    • Ability to embrace ideas and changes created by all community members; seek and appreciate constructive thoughts, ideas, and feedback from others.
    • Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks and priorities.
    • Must be highly independent; take initiative; and challenges self to be and do one's best.
    • Ability to envision and propose new methods to perform tasks that support ET&A; work independently to solve problems; look for opportunities to take on responsibility; take thoughtful risks; and accept new and ongoing initiatives, objectives, and solutions to gain sought-after results.
    • Ability to anticipate and embrace change; demonstrate willingness to achieve, acquire, and utilize new skills and challenging tasks; and is flexible in changing conditions.
    • Must have strong technological skills in Microsoft Office or Google products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook as well as an overall high level of technological savviness.

    How And Where You Will Work

    • Requires work onsite a minimum of 2 days a week; the on-campus requirement is subject to modification based on organizational need.

    Additional Skills You May Have

    • Experience with Cornerstone Learning Management or instructional design is a plus.
    • Certification in coaching or equivalent training preferred.
    • Additional certifications in coaching, assessments, and change management strongly preferred.
