- Anyone with experience with Aoki, Bekum, Uniloy, Sidel, 1Blow, Sipa, Husky, Flew Blow, Rocheleau, MBK, and PBM machinery
- Anyone with experience with HDPE or PET resins
Job Summary:
As the Blow Molding Machine Operator you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of blow molding machinery to produce high-quality plastic products. This role involves setting up and maintaining the machines, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring production runs smoothly according to specifications and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate blow molding machines and related equipment.
- Set up machines for production, including installing molds, configuring settings, and starting up machines.
- Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to maintain product quality and efficiency.
- Inspect products for defects and ensure they meet quality standards.
- Perform regular quality checks and document findings.
- Address any issues that may compromise product quality.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve machine malfunctions or breakdowns.
- Work with maintenance team to schedule and perform preventive maintenance.
- Follow production schedules and meet production targets.
- Record production data and maintain accurate logs.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and meet deadlines.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations.
- Ensure work area is clean and organized to maintain a safe working environment.
- Report any safety hazards or incidents to the supervisor.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and product quality.
- Provide suggestions for improving processes and equipment performance.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a blow molding machine operator or in a similar role preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency with hand tools and basic machine maintenance.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
- Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work in a noisy and fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions:
- Work is performed in a manufacturing environment.
- Exposure to noise, heat, and machinery.
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, ear protection, etc. are required.
Hours:
- 1st Shift (Monday- Saturday) 7:00am-3:00pm
- 2nd Shift (Monday – Saturday) 3:00pm-11:00pm
- 3rd Shift (Monday – Saturday) 11:00pm -7:00am
