    Job Overview
    This operation is to be performed keeping safety as a primary objective and following established GMP, Safety and Classic Packaging procedures and policies. To Promote and enforce all company policies and to ensure the highest quality products are being produced.
     Duties
    Includes, but not limited to the following:
    • Promote and enforce all company rules and policies.
    • Uphold and maintain the highest quality possible.
    • The supervisor must QC each roll coming off the machines for print quality, repeat, color, print position, Lamination appearance and quality (Laminator), and any other testing that may be required for each job.
    • Must review all raw materials paperwork to ensure the correct materials are being used.
    • Must review all paperwork to ensure it is filled out correctly.
    • Must sign off on each setup before job can begin to run.
    • When the job finishes you must review any return to stock rolls are written down and returned to proper location for pick up.
    • Make sure the correct press speeds are being maintained for the allotted number of colors.
    • Make sure the Laminator speeds are being maintained for structures that are being run.
    • Report any problems that keep the machines from achieving the correct running speeds.
    • Report any machine repairs that need to be performed to keep all machines running at peak performance and producing the highest quality product possible.
    • On weekends when the slitting department is here, and the converting department is not, you will be responsible for the slitters.
    • Promote and enforce machine cleanliness.
    • Promote and enforce building cleanliness/upkeep.
    • Meet with Assistant plant manager daily to communicate their shifts production problems and run percentages.
    • Evaluate helpers’ progress and training needs.
    • Encourage, compliment, and create a positive workplace.
    • Comply with all safety requirements, including wearing PPE.
    • Safely operate variety of material moving equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hoists to transport and lift materials finished products.
    •  Perform any other duties as assigned by Plant manager or Assistant plant manager.

    Required Skills
    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty accurately and in time to meet the company’s target deadlines. The requirements listed are representative of the minimum knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 
    • Proficient in communication skills and computer skills.
    • Troubleshoot equipment and product quality issues.
    • The ability to take measurements in standard and metric.
    • The ability to learn new skills and apply them across a range of applications.
    • Comfort with math and science.
    • Positive attitude with a mentality for teamwork and a focus on quality.
    • Punctual, meticulous, and reliable.
    • Courteous manners with co-workers.
    Education and/or Experience
    • Trade school/vocational school or High school diploma or GED
    • 2 to 3 years of experience as a Press Operator
    • Two to three years of management
    • Previous manufacturing experience

    Job Type: Full-time
    Salary: $25.00 -$27.00 per hour
