Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Barn Hand to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with horses, has a strong work ethic and can lift 50 lbs.
Responsibilities:
- Clean stalls in the mornings either 7 days a week or 3/4 days a week if there two individuals are working
- Perform heavy lifting tasks as needed: lifting muck bucket to dump in trash can and rolling trash cans out to road and lifting feed bags.
- Clean out and fill water buckets/ troughs
- Support greenhouse activities such as planting and growing crops
- Handle animals with care and follow proper safety protocols
Skills:
- Experience with horses is a plus but not required
- Ability to perform heavy lifting regularly
- Strong work ethic, honesty, integrity and punctual
This is a volunteer position for a 501(c)(3) charitable organization and hours can be counted as community service.
