PACS Administrator is responsible for the daily operations of the Picture Archiving and Communications Systems. Oversees equipment maintenance and systems testing, upgrading, and installing. Being a PACS Administrator acts as a liaison between the Radiology department and customers. Maintains positive vendor relationship. Additionally, PACS Administrator requires a bachelor's degree. Requires a certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The PACS Administrator supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Roosevelt Medical Center is searching for a full-time Administrator to provide professional leadership services to the organization who will at all times faithfully, industriously and as to the best of the Administrator’s ability, perform all duties that may be required of the Administrator by virtue of the position and as may be set forth in the hospital Bylaws, policy statements, job description or as assigned or delegated by the Hospital’s Board of Directors. The Administrator shall be vested with the authority to act on behalf of the Board of Directors to lead and manage the organization in keeping with policies and procedures as adopted by the Board and may be amended from time to time.
The Administrator serves as the highest-ranking executive of the organization responsible for working with the Board in setting and then overseeing the organization’s strategic mission and vision ensuring values are adhered to by demonstrating critical thinking and analytic abilities.
Potential candidates must possess at least a minimum of a Bachelors degree in healthcare administration, business, finance or other pertinent healthcare related area. Prior healthcare administrator experience is preferred but must have at least 5 years of progressive healthcare leadership and/or management experience and have general working knowledge and understanding of healthcare, human resources, patient experience, clinical practices, operations, technology, innovation, revenue cycle management and finances. Must possess strong communication and relationship building skills.
Total compensation will be based on experience and as compared to market comparables.
