Paralegal Supervisor jobs in Delaware

Paralegal Supervisor supervises the paralegal team and implements systems and processes utilized to conduct research and produce legal documents. Coordinates the preparation of legal documents and tracks projects to ensure the work is completed accurately and on time. Being a Paralegal Supervisor organizes documents into formal report and proofs for attorneys. Trains paralegals to effectively utilize databases and legal libraries to conduct research. Additionally, Paralegal Supervisor typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically requires Paralegal Certification. Typically reports to a manager. The Paralegal Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Paralegal Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes.     Maron Marvel has an immediate opening for a paralegal to join our team in its Wilmington office. Successful candidates will have exceptional research, writing, and litigation skills.

    Responsibilities:

    • All aspects of toxic tort case management including initial claim review, drafting of pleadings and motions, review of documents and medical records, the discovery process, tracking and communicating case-related dates/deadlines and information, and trial preparation.
    • Maintaining tracking charts.
    • Review and preparation of documents, reports and correspondence.

    • Organized and forward looking, to ensure that tasks are completed in a planned and timely manner.
    • A strong team player, as well as the ability to work on independent projects.

    • The ability to adapt to change; work independently with minimal supervision; and work under strict deadlines.
    • The ability to organize and manage a high volume of cases.
    • Self-motivated, exercising sound judgment, demonstrating good time-management and teamwork skills.
    • A commitment to providing excellent client service, and effectively interacting with clients as well as staff at all levels.
    • The flexibility to work overtime as needed to meet deadlines.
    • Working knowledge of MS Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, required.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills are a must.
    • Prior paralegal experience in a litigation environment, including experience with claim intake and case management skills, is highly desired.
    • Prior mass tort paralegal experience in a litigation environment is preferred.

    Requirements:

    • Paralegal Certificate required from accredited school. Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred. 
    • Minimum 5 years' experience as a general litigation paralegal.
