Pastoral Care Ministry (New Position) FLEXIBLE HOURS

St. George Manor is a non-licensed, elderly, religious facility for Sisters of Holy Cross. Seeking an amazing person who wants to make a difference in the world and in the lives of our Sisters. Must be a good listener with a high level of empathy and genuine compassion.

• Coordinate and oversee a ministry of care program to meet the spiritual need of the Sisters.
• Effectively assess the spiritual care needs and provide support and follow-up
• Develop a pastoral care plan that recognized the uniqueness of each Sister.
• Support the well-being of the sisters as they transition from one level of care to another and sometimes experience stress, grief and loss.
• See to spiritual needs, assuring yearly retreat
• Schedule priests for masses.
• Organize and oversee to the lectors for Mass, noon meal prayer and evening communal prayer.
• Provide Sisters with multiple opportunities and resources to access music, Catholic television, and other means to meet their spiritual needs.

Weekly schedule:

• Flexible (24 to 32 hours)

Qualifications/Certification:

• Degree or Certification in the field of Pastoral Care/Spiritual Direction
• An understanding of Catholic Vowed religious Life, and/or commitment to learn about vowed life and the community traditions, mission, charism, spiritualty, history, and values.
• Two (2) years or more experience in Pastoral Care Ministry. Working with aging population preferred.
• Microsoft Skills/Outlook

• Ability to push a resident in wheelchair
