We are searching for a dedicated, creative Pastry Chef for the beautiful AC Hotel in downtown Greenville.  We are looking for a Pastry Chef who is skilled in making quality pastries, desserts, breads, ice creams, displays/centerpieces and other specialty items to serve in our food outlets and banquets.  If you are someone who likes to be busy, is a Team player and has a passion for creating, please consider joining our talented team.

Essential Job Functions

• Knowledgeable in maintenance, safety and use of kitchen equipment
• Familiar with state sanitation/health regulations and hotel requirements
• Able to establish priorities for production and other requested tasks.
• Ability to prepare a variety of menu items following recipes and yield guides.
• Willing to plan dessert menus if needed, and to offer suggestions and ideas.
• Ensure the cleanliness of the kitchen, making sure it is sanitized at all times
• Maintain up to date knowledge about pastry arts and ingredients
• Carry out administrative duties to maintain an efficient workspace
• Certification of culinary training or apprenticeship preferred.

Experience/Education

1‐2 years experience working in a busy kitchen.  College degree preferred; High School Diploma and/or 2‐3 years’ experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.  Applicant must be able to read, speak and understand English.
