Pathology Assistant jobs in Georgia
Pathology Assistant under the supervision of a pathologist assists with preparing and dissecting surgical specimens. Prepares and selects tissue samples for analysis. Being a Pathology Assistant may record findings or sterilize equipment. Requires a bachelor's/master's degree from an accredited program. Additionally, Pathology Assistant may require certification as a pathologist assistant. Typically reports to a pathologist. To be a Pathology Assistant typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience. Gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Speech Pathology Assistant
Nature of Position A Speech Pathology Assistant will follow documented treatment plans and protocols developed by a licensed or certified Speech Language Pathologist.
Reports To Senior Director, Exceptional Children Education
Required- Associate degree in Communicative Disorders
- Bachelor’s Degree in Communicative Disorders
- College-based or clinical experience performing similar duties with children
- Deliver treatment to students as determined by the Speech Language Pathologist.
- Assist with informal documentation.
- Document student performance.
- Assist the Speech Language Pathologist during assessment of students.
- Perform clerical duties, maintain records, and prepare reports as necessary.
- Assist with professional development activities.
- Assist with departmental operations such as scheduling and scanning.
- Performs other duties as necessary for the effective operations of the department.
Appropriate pay will be determined based on Grade 10 on the classified hourly scale and allowable experience as determined by Human Resources.
