Being a Pathology Assistant may record findings or sterilize equipment. Requires a bachelor's/master's degree from an accredited program. Additionally, Pathology Assistant may require certification as a pathologist assistant. Typically reports to a pathologist. To be a Pathology Assistant typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience. Gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Travel as needed to multiple phlebotomy worksite locations. Provide exceptional patient care and customer-focused service. Perform venipuncture on patients of all ages. Collect/prepare non-blood specimens. Ensure proper specimen processing, labeling, and test ordering. Champion safety, compliance, and quality control. All you need is: High School Diploma or equivalent A valid driver’s license and an excellent driving record for the past three years.
