    The Accounts Payable Supervisor provides general accounting support to the accounting department.
    Qualifications:
    Education:
    • High school diploma required, with some college courses desired.
    Licenses/Certification:
    Experience:
    • Minimum of two years of experience in an office environment. Minimum of two years’ experience with Accounts Payable.
    Essential Functions:
    • Hiring, training, developing, and supervising the accounts payable staff
    • Perform annual reviews and evaluations of the accounts payable coordinators.
    • Perform reviews and audits of the accounts payable accounts, reports and ledgers
    • Close the monthly accounts payables.
    • Reviews invoices on a sample basis for GL coding, discounts, payment terms. Pricing ETC.
    • Prepare monthly aging reports.
    • Perform general ledger posting for month-end.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft office applications payments system
    • Receive batches of invoices and control reports from the facilities, review, and check for accuracy, including ensuring proper chart of accounts coding
    • File open invoices waiting for payment.
    • Data enter invoices received at the corporate office (5 - 10% of invoices)
    • Generate and review Vendor Aging Reports for payment selection.
    • Issue checks for Vendors and manual payroll checks
    • Match checks to invoices and mail with appropriate remittance advices
    • File paid invoices
    • Respond to vendor and facility inquiries.
    • Update AP information summary for cash management purposes
    • Manage and verify W-9 forms are completed as necessary.
    • Preparation of year end 1099 forms
    • Month end close of AP, including generation of month end reports.
    • Maintain vendor set up in MDI, including adding ALL new vendors for assigned facilities.
    • Reconciliation of American Express account
    • Keeps confidential all patient and employee information.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
    Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
    • Knowledge of accounts payable practices and techniques.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with vendors, facilities and employees, and at all levels of the organization.
    • Skilled in the use of computers and the Microsoft Office suite of applications.
    • Ability to be accurate, concise and detail oriented.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality of all information to assure resident rights are protected
