Coordinates activities and schedules work assignments to meet billing deadlines. Being a Patient Accounts Supervisor may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Patient Accounts Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. General Statement of Responsibility and Accountability
The Patients Accounts Coordinator will direct all aspects of treatment presentation and monetary collection from patients. The Patients Accounts Coordinator will also direct aspects of claim processing and insurance payment. It will be this person's responsibility to communicate with the Appointment Coordinator each patient's current eligibility, frequency of procedures, and remaining financial benefit. The Patients Accounts Coordinator will also be responsible for knowing our policies and procedures in an effort to communicate a positive, uniform message to our patients and their parents/guardians at all times. The Patients Accounts Coordinator must work as a team member in partnership with all office and clinical staff.
