Patient Transporter transports patients to and from their inpatient beds and other areas like therapy, surgery or radiology. Other responsibilities include retrieving medical records, lab results, supplies and medications. Being a Patient Transporter may require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Patient Transporter typically reports to a supervisor. The Patient Transporter may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. The Transporter is responsible for transporting / transferring patients to include various assigned duties in accordance with established methods and procedures of the Recovery Center. This includes driving patients to their prescribed appointments throughout the day. Must have a valid state driver's license and good driving record.
