Job Overview:
As a Laborer/Operator for our Paving/Asphalt Crew, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and high-quality completion of various paving and asphalt projects. You will be responsible for operating heavy equipment such as graders or rollers, as well as assisting with manual labor tasks as needed. Your attention to detail, commitment to safety, and ability to work effectively within a team will contribute to the success of our projects. This a physically demanding job that requires work outside in all different weather elements.
Responsibilities:
- Manual labor tasks including shoveling, raking, and sweeping to prepare surfaces for paving and asphalt work.
- Assist in operating paving equipment to spread and compact asphalt or other paving materials according to project specifications.
- Load and unload materials and equipment onto trucks or trailers, ensuring proper distribution and securement
- Monitor paving and asphalt work to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your team members.
- Work collaboratively with crew members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
- Maintain clear and open communication with supervisors and team members regarding project progress, issues, and any other relevant information.
- Keep work areas clean and organized to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
