Payroll Director directs all aspects of payroll processing operations. Establishes and oversees payroll processes and procedures for routine processing, tax reporting and internal financial requirements. Being a Payroll Director designs short-term and long-term strategies to achieve continuous improvement and efficiencies in payroll processing and delivery operations. Keeps stakeholders informed about the status of payroll laws and regulations and develops implementation plans for required changes to operations. Additionally, Payroll Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Payroll Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. ProService is seeking a Director of Payroll, to spearhead the mission to ensure precise and punctual payroll execution for our over 3,000 clients. Your leadership will be pivotal in helping us achieve an impressive 94% client retention rate and 70 NPS score, by delivering quality and consistent service.
With a team of 40 processors under your guidance, you'll attract, nurture, and retain top talent, fostering a work culture of service excellence, collaboration and client empathy.
As the Director of Payroll you will bring with you years of operational prowess, particularly in payroll management, and the ability to inspire teams and drive results. By fostering an environment of continuous improvement, you'll ensure our payroll operations are adaptable and efficient, and will position ProService Hawaii for scalable success.

The base compensation for this position is $150,000 to $170,000 annualized depending on experience and qualifications. This role is eligible for an additional compensation incentive in the form of performance based commissions/bonuses. The commission/bonus payout is between $10,000 and $15,000 annually when performing within the target range.
To ensure effective collaboration and alignment with our team's workflow, we have a preference for candidates who are based in or willing to work within HST.
