Payroll Director directs all aspects of payroll processing operations. Establishes and oversees payroll processes and procedures for routine processing, tax reporting and internal financial requirements. Being a Payroll Director designs short-term and long-term strategies to achieve continuous improvement and efficiencies in payroll processing and delivery operations. Keeps stakeholders informed about the status of payroll laws and regulations and develops implementation plans for required changes to operations. Additionally, Payroll Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Payroll Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Payroll Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. The Payroll Specialist is responsible for providing unparalleled service to Inova’s client accounts. This position requires the aptitude and attitude required to gain knowledge of payroll and Inova’s payroll systems, and to provide superior client support in a fast-paced environment. Duties include processing payrolls for multiple clients, troubleshooting issues, and providing online application training and support for client users, all within the UKGR/Kronos Workforce Ready application. Qualified candidates should possess the drive to continually expand their knowledge and abilities.
