Coordinates plan activities with other departments to promote efficiencies for low-cost administrative services. Additionally, Pension Administrator, Sr. may have an ASPA designation. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Pension Administrator, Sr. contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. We are seeking an individual with experience in an office environment with excellent customer service skills. A background in financial services is a plus. This job entails helping clients with day-to-day retirement questions through phone and email, assisting with processing loans and distributions from retirement plans, working with several investment companies and assisting financial advisors with questions. Candidates should be able to work alone, as well as work in a team environment. The ideal candidate is upbeat and able to work with a variety of personalities in a fast-paced environment. This role is M-F, and typically 8 hours/day during standard business hours. Occasional OT is needed to meet the needs of our clients during busy times.
We will begin training this position on processing loans and distributions behind the scenes, and then once up and running at a good speed, this role will transition to a client-facing position where there is more outside communication and interaction directly with clients and advisors. This transition generally happens anywhere between 9-12 months after hire, once the Relationship Manager has a great foundation with their loans and distribution processes, and understands industry-specific terminology. The transition timing depends on how training goes as well as business needs. We stive to help every employee be successful and will move this position to client-facing once we are confident that they are ready.
