Pharmacy Director directs, establishes, and plans the overall policies and goals for a hospital or healthcare facility's pharmacy services. Maintains contact with other department heads, medical staff, and nursing staff to determine needs, resolve problems, improve processes, and promote effective drug therapy. Being a Pharmacy Director requires a bachelor's degree in pharmacy. Typically requires Registered Pharmacist (RPh). Additionally, Pharmacy Director typically reports to a top management. The Pharmacy Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. This position involves matching and pulling medications, accurately counting and logging medications and completing orders for Pharmacist verification checks. With an eye for ensuring 100% right med, right patient and right time, the production specialist is the core of our commitment to our patients. Secondary duties include but aren't limited to backing our pick-up staff in all manners needed, answering general questions and prioritizing workflow.
