We are looking for an Indirect Purchasing Agent t to join at what is set to be the largest battery manufacturing plant in the world once all set and done. With this being a joint venture and greenfield development project, my client is looking for a very organized individual that has experience working in a similar fast-paced manufacturing environment. This person will be expected to be able to work well with others building strong relationships with internal co-workers and external stakeholders while collaborating with many different cross functional teams but also able to work independently when needed. This individual should expect to come into a very diverse, fast-moving environment while working well under pressure and in the midst of change to perform the following:
* Manages programs related to the anticipation, evaluation, and control of exposures to chemicals and physical agents in the work environment.
* Conducts comprehensive industrial hygiene risk assessments to identify employee exposures to potentially hazardous chemicals, physical agents, and processes.
* Interprets results of evaluations, report conclusions, and evaluate effectiveness of control measures.
* In cases where exposures are not acceptable, investigate and provide recommendations for controls.
* Develops written standards and training materials for topics related to industrial hygiene.
* Communicates information/requirements to leadership and management teams
* Provides subject matter expertise to support compliance with the companies Health and Safety standards
* Provides leadership to resolve IH-related issues and employee concerns in collaboration with manufacturing teams
* Analyzes data and present results in easily understood format
