Pharmacy Service Clerk jobs in California
Pharmacy Service Clerk is responsible for performing daily, routine tasks in the pharmacy such as answering the phone, responding to customer requests, data entry, record maintenance, and other clerical duties. Follows organization and department procedures to complete tasks in a timely manner. Being a Pharmacy Service Clerk assists with stocking and inventory tasks. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Pharmacy Service Clerk typically reports to a supervisor. The Pharmacy Service Clerk possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. - Maintains pharmacy inventory by checking pharmaceutical stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed medications and supplies;
placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt; removing outdated drugs.
- Maintains a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulation.
- Organizes medications for pharmacist to dispense by reading medication orders and prescriptions; preparing labels; calculating quantities.
- Maintains records by recording and filing physicians' orders and prescriptions.
POSITION : Pharmacy Clerk
- Helps with customer service at front counters by greeting customers and working cash register.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
