Blairsville area retail pharmacy is seeking a motivated, professional individual to fill the role of Customer Service Pharmacy Technician. The applicant would preferably have at least one year experience as a clerk or technician in a pharmacy or in the healthcare field. A mature, friendly, professional individual is required to assume this position in the pharmacy while working under the direction of the pharmacist-in-charge.

General Definition The purpose of the customer service pharmacy tech is to assist the pharmacist-in-charge, staff pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and coworkers with the day-to-day activities in the pharmacy.

General Responsibilities

• Ordering and maintaining over-the-counter inventory
• Help patients who are dropping off or picking up prescription orders
• Correctly process point of sale prescription and over-the-counter transactions
• At point of sale, verify that customer receives correct prescription(s)
• Create and update patients health and insurance information in the computer
• Screen telephone calls for the pharmacists
• Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy, in accordance with local, state, federal, and company regulations
• Maintain an awareness of developments in the community and pharmaceutical fields that relate to job responsibilities and integrate them into practice
• Housekeeping and Material Handling

• High school or equivalent (Required)

License/Certification:

Ability to Relocate:

• Blairsville, GA 30512: Relocate before starting work (Required)
