Job Summary
This full-time (0.8 status/32 hours weekly) position provides for procurement, storage, distribution, and charging of pharmaceutical products. Repackages, labels, checks for outdates, and safety of medications throughout the hospital.
Responsibilities include:
• Prepares, delivers, and charges medications.
• Fills medication carts.
• Restocks floor and non-floor stock items and narcotics.
• Opens medications from outside vendors, tests Bar Codes and prepares for internal usage.
• Assists with the preparation of IV solutions and chemotherapy
• Performs unit inspections of pharmaceutical items.
• Maintains records on narcotic sheets, invoices, and receipts.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications
High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
South Dakota Board of Pharmacy Technician License.
Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred.
