GEM Technologies, Inc. (GEM) is seeking a Photographer to join our team. This position is part-time, as needed basis and will support the Los Alamos National Laboratory in Los Alamos, NM.

• Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years of relevant experience.
• Must have still photography experience (i.e., event photography, on-location photography, sport photography, desired).
• Must have photo editing experience.
• Must have experience with Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop (Adobe Ps), Premiere, and After Effects (Adobe Ae).
• Must be flexible and able to support LANL’s evolving photography needs with undetermined hours but set projects in advance.
• Portfolio must be submitted to remain in consideration for the role.
• Candidate must be local to Los Alamos, NM.

• Support LANL’s Multimedia Production Team by providing still photography and, if requested, assist with videography.
• Researches, prepares, and produces digital imagery (still or videos) for training, promotion, documentation, or other Laboratory official purposes for both internal and external audiences.
• Serves as a primary contact for photographic and videographic services required by Laboratory customers.
• Conducts needs assessments, interacting with customer organizations to analyze and develop visual media content and/or presentations.
• Advises customers of Laboratory media policies and procedures.
• Contributes to the development of organization’s goals and objectives.
• Works under limited direction; receives general instructions on new assignments.
• Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
• Determines approach to solutions, plans schedule and arranges own activities in accomplishing objectives.

• To be considered, you must be able to obtain and maintain a government issued clearance, if needed.
• Due to the federal nature of the work, a U.S. Citizenship is required.

The NNSA's Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL), located in Los Alamos, New Mexico, is a design laboratory responsible for the safety and reliability of the nuclear explosives package in nuclear weapons.
