Physician - Infectious Disease specializes in the prevention and treatment of communicable diseases. Ensures proper disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. Being a Physician - Infectious Disease consults with patients to determine the appropriate course of treatment. Recommends and orders tests to determine extent of illness or help diagnose condition. Additionally, Physician - Infectious Disease requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Requires a valid state license to practice. May report to a medical director. Join our existing ID physician in a busy and established practice
No call
Wide variety of pathology, including HIV, tuberculosis, zoonoses, infections in immunocompromised hosts (oncology), orthopedics, tick borne illness, endemic mycoses, STDs, HCV, Hep C
Good collaboration with Sanford ID physicians in our system - weekly case conference
Wound care-optional. Sanford Bemidji has two hyperbaric chambers
Meet with infection prevention bi-monthly
Sanford Bemidji Medical Center is a 118 bed hospital, 14 bed ICU
Level III trauma center-27,000 annual patients
Compensation Package
