Clinician Educator; Division of Infectious Diseases Transplant / Immunocompromised Host Infectious Diseases
The Division of Infectious Diseases, Department of Medicine, at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University in Providence, RI is seeking a physician at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank to join the Division as a clinician educator focused on transplant ID and infections among non-HIV immunocompromised hosts.
The position will be based at Rhode Island Hospital the primary academic hospital of Lifespan and a major teaching site for Warren Alpert Medical School.
The position will consist of ID-related inpatient consultations and ambulatory care of transplant recipients, persons undergoing pre-transplant evaluation, and persons with cancer.
The faculty member will work closely with other Division members dedicated to this patient population, the Division of Nephrology Transplant team, the Advanced Heart Failure (VAD and heart transplant) Team, and the Lifespan Cancer Institute.
Leadership opportunities are available to qualified applicants with post-fellowship experience in transplant and immunocompromised host ID.
The position provides teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows, and there are ample opportunities for research and scholarship.
