Physician - Infectious Disease specializes in the prevention and treatment of communicable diseases. Ensures proper disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. Being a Physician - Infectious Disease consults with patients to determine the appropriate course of treatment. Recommends and orders tests to determine extent of illness or help diagnose condition. Additionally, Physician - Infectious Disease requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Requires a valid state license to practice. May report to a medical director. REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in nursing and current licensure or valid permit to practice professional nursing in Texas is required. The equivalent of four years RN experience, including two years progressive management experience is required. Approved specialty certification required (as applicable to assigned program(s)/project(s) ).
