Physician - Occupational Medicine oversees the patient's diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of occupational illnesses and/or injury. Prepares patients for return to work after illness or injury or may act as a consultant to identify workplace health hazards. Being a Physician - Occupational Medicine examines patients to determine the appropriate course of treatment. Recommends tests to determine extent of illness or help diagnose condition. Additionally, Physician - Occupational Medicine requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Requires a valid state license to practice. May report to a medical director. Hours are 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. Monday through Friday with a 1 hour lunch break in between. This is a unique opportunity to round out our team in providing unparalleled care to our patients that come from all over the world.
Position entails the following functional areas:- Medical scribe for all follow up appointments in office and via tele-health
- New Patient Historian (Clinician directly interacting with patients)
- Patient Education using a proven method of interaction and follow up utilized for over 30 years
- Assisting doctors with answering patient questions (phone/email/letters)
- Confirming laboratory testing is completed and sending patient letters and or copies of their lab reports
- Assisting doctors with preparation of letters or medical reports
- Disability Claims
- Providing and explaining laboratory kits for testing to patients
Excellent writing and computer skills are required. (TYPING SPEEDS OF 50 WPM OR HIGHER A MUST).GREAT TEAM WORK ENVIRONMENT AND MULTIPLE OPPORTUNITIES FOR CROSS TRAINING AND EXPOSURE TO VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS.
