Physicians are responsible for evaluating and providing evidence-based treatment to pediatric patients within their scope of practice under the Medical Directors direct supervision. This position maintains effective working relationships and rapport with patients/families, other physicians, employees, and volunteers. Description PM Pediatrics is hiring additional PEM physicians and pediatricians with urgent care experience to join our team which includes over 60 PEM providers. Under the guidance of the Medical Director, physicians are responsible for evaluating and providing evidence-based treatment to pediatric patients in an urgent care setting. Job Responsibilities: · Performing procedural care (abscess drainage, laceration repair with sutures, staples, and dermal adhesive, and foreign body removal) · Assessment and treatment of acute injury · Assessment and treatment of acute illness; including but not limited to anaphylaxis, procedural anxiolysis, respiratory distress, croup, and asthma care · Providing preliminary interpretation of x-rays with official radiology over-reads · Oversight of trainees and co-signing of APP's charts · Manage a busy, fast-paced workflow.
