Plan Design Specialist jobs in Vermont
Plan Design Specialist works closely with clients to design group health, dental and/or life insurance plans to create an overall benefit package. Works alongside underwriters, but is not an underwriter role. Being a Plan Design Specialist monitors and analyzes cost trends. May handle more complex plan design. Additionally, Plan Design Specialist requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Plan Design Specialist gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. As a Case Design Specialist you will work directly with agents and internal business partners to process requests for whole life, indexed universal life and universal life illustrations. Additionally, you will provide excellent customer service through written correspondence and personal contact.

- Use communications skills to pinpoint what kind of needs each client has when illustrating a life insurance quote
- Work with internal and external customers to manage a high volume of illustration requests
- Back-up support for incoming agent calls
- 1-3 years financial services experience
- College degree preferred
- Problem solving skills

- Demonstrated experience in providing excellent customer service
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent telephone skills
- Ability to adapt to the interests of the audience
- Knowledge of general life underwriting guidelines
- Previous experience with life and/or annuity illustration software
- Must be able to successfully pass a background check that may include fingerprinting
