Plan Design Specialist works closely with clients to design group health, dental and/or life insurance plans to create an overall benefit package. Works alongside underwriters, but is not an underwriter role. Being a Plan Design Specialist monitors and analyzes cost trends. May handle more complex plan design. Additionally, Plan Design Specialist requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.     **Essential Job Duties**

    • Collaborate with plan sponsors to design optimal retirement plans that align with their goals and maximize program success.
    • Provide plan design recommendations and support by crafting plan documents and amendments based on client consultations.
    • Engage in consultative plan design calls with sponsors and advisors during the implementation process.
    • Foster sponsor education and engagement by working closely with internal and external stakeholders on plan design and related matters.
    • Manage vendor relationships effectively to support plan operations and client needs.
    • Stay updated on regulatory changes through networking and professional development activities.
    • Conduct informative training sessions for clients and partners.
    • Participate in departmental projects as a subject matter expert.

    **Minimum Qualifications**

    • 3 years of experience in the retirement industry, with a focus on DC plan administration.
    • Strong communication skills and dedication to superior customer service.
    • Proficiency in plan document interpretation, analysis, and drafting.
    • Excellent attention to detail and numerical proficiency.
    • Track record of meeting or exceeding performance expectations.
    • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proactive approach to learning and staying updated on industry trends.
    • Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and other relevant software.

    **Preferred Qualifications**

    • Bachelor's degree (preferred but not required).
    • ASPPA Retirement Plan credentials (e.g., RPF, QKA, QPA) preferred.
    • Consultant or Advisory credentials from relevant institutions.

    **Physical Demands and Work Environment**

    • This position primarily involves sitting and computer use.
    • Occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds may be required.
    • Vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision are necessary.
    • The work environment is typically indoors with minimal travel required.
