Performs analysis of trends in healthcare and makes recommendations for new services or changes in existing services. Being a Planning Director supports feasibility analysis and new program planning. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Planning Director typically reports to top management. The Planning Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. To be a Planning Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     This job plans administrative, financial, and operational activities for the regional executive team, acts as a point of contact between top management and employees/stakeholders and oversees projects of high importance, providing guidance as needed. Assumes responsibility for regional operations rhythms and strategic execution processes in alignment with system operational standards and leads regional initiatives on behalf leadership.

    Education

    Required - Bachelor's degree in healthcare, business administration or related field.

    Work Experience

    Preferred - Master's degree.

    Required - 5 years of related healthcare experience, including 2 years of supervision or management experience

    Preferred - Experience In Project Management And/or Change Management

    Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)

    • Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of information.
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
    • Must be proficient with Windows-style applications, various software packages specific to role and keyboard.
    • Strong interpersonal skills.

    • Works to increase the bandwidth of the regional leadership in such a way as to concentrate their time, effort, and priorities on operational initiatives.
    • Leads the coordination, implementation and execution of operational rhythms and processes in alignment with system operational standards.
    • Helps to establish accountability across regional teams by making sure appropriate milestones and measurements are built into business and project plans.
    • Drives cross-functional initiatives and monitors the execution of regional change initiatives with senior leadership.
    • Aligns stakeholders on priorities and outcomes through comprehensive communication plans and rhythms.
    • Synthesizes analysis to deliver actionable, insightful, data-driven recommendations to leadership.
    • Serves as liaison to system shared services and support functions on behalf of the region.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned.
