Plant Accountant jobs in New York

Candlelight Cabinetry is a local family owned and operated growing company in WNY. We are currently seeking a talented individual to join our finance team as a Plant Accountant.

As a Plant Accountant at Candlelight Cabinetry, you play a vital role in supporting our financial operations.

Responsibilities include:

• General Ledger maintenance for plant operations, including AR and AP
• Assist with month, quarter and year-end close, including reconciliations, financial statement prep and supporting audit requirements
• Support AR and AP functions as needed, including managing customer deposits, payment applications and invoicing.
• Assist with monthly inventory counts and valuation.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting of plant processes.
• Prepare ad-hoc reports to support plant operations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• 0-3 years of experience in accounting or related field
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
