Plant General Manager directs, manages, and optimizes a plant or production facility's overall operations and financial performance (P&L). Client is a leading food manufacturer seeking a General Manager for their facility in the West Central Wisconsin area. They offer a complete benefit package, including relocation, salary range of $120K - $135K with a 15% target bonus. Job responsibilities include:
· Responsible for plant operational systems in frozen operations including acquisition of raw materials, agricultural planning, product processing, warehousing, QA, safety, human relations, and shipping of quality finished products
· Direct supervision of all management personnel, indirect supervision of hourly and seasonal personnel
· Responsible for all decisions in the plant and field, while consulting with and accountable to the Director of Western Region Operations
· Prepare and administer direct and overhead budgets
· Administer all correspondence and communications necessary to carry out company functions in sales, distribution, finance, administration, quality assurance, human resources, production, safety, energy, etc.
· Interact, along with subordinates, to various counterparts at corporate level to meet goals and strategies
· Make recommendations to Director Western Region Operations on capital programs necessary to maintain cost efficiency and to achieve long range and strategic plan
· Responsible for strict compliance and administration of all company policies, rules, and regulations, as well as the same for federal, state, and local agencies
· Carry out program to ensure company status as a quality producer
· Responsible for compliance of all government regulations and necessary reporting requirements
· In absence of plant quality manager, be responsible for ensuring compliance to regulatory requirements, industry regulated standards and overall food safety and quality functions
· In absence of quality manager, lend support to seasonal lead staff for day-to-day quality functions as needed
· Supervise, mentor, and lead four managers
The following qualifications must be met to be considered for the position:
· BS/BA strongly preferred
· 5 years related plant general management experience
· Food manufacturing experience
· Overall knowledge of plant operations and equipment
· Supervisory/leadership experience
