Job Title: Team Lead - Live Nursery Merchandising

Job Description: We are seeking an enthusiastic and Team Lead for our Live Nursery Merchandising position inside Walmart Garden Centers. If you have a passion for working with flowers and plants, coupled with strong leadership skills, this position offers a unique opportunity to lead a team of merchandisers in a high-profile garden center setting.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise a team of dedicated merchandisers during peak season, providing guidance, training, and mentorship to ensure optimal performance and consistent delivery of exceptional customer service.
• Develop and implement daily action plans, coordinating tasks and assignments to ensure the efficient and effective servicing of live nursery products.
• Act as a liaison between store personnel and corporate management, fostering open communication and facilitating the flow of information to ensure operational objectives are met.
• Unload, move, and consolidate live plants, ensuring proper care and handling techniques are followed to maintain the quality and freshness of our products.
• Collaborate with the merchandising team to set up captivating displays that showcase the beauty and variety of our live nursery offerings.
• Monitor inventory levels, reporting discrepancies and working closely with inventory control to maintain accurate stock levels.

Qualifications:

• Passion for flowers, plants, and gardening, with a keen eye for visual merchandising.
• Previous experience in a leadership role, preferably in a retail or garden center environment.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Knowledge of nursery product care and maintenance is desirable.
