Plant Manager directs a plant or production facility's overall operations. Sets and implements policies and procedures that guide plant operations' productivity, quality, and cost efficiency. Being a Plant Manager utilizes operational metrics to analyze productivity and set performance targets to achieve production goals. Develops and deploys manufacturing practices focused on quality and continuous improvement. Additionally, Plant Manager develops and implements plant safety and security inspections, auditing, and training procedures to meet OSHA and other required regulations. Collaborates with multi-functional plant teams, including finance, engineering, materials, quality assurance, and human resources. Leads or participates in labor relations negotiations and engages with union leadership involving plant operations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering or equivalent. Typically reports to senior management. The Plant Manager manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Plant Manager typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Manages activities pertaining to the accounting and reporting of all transactions involving natural gas plant accounting.
    • Management of a gas plant accounting function that includes supervision of up to 7 team members.
    • Problem solve and ensure group requirements are being met on a daily basis.
    • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (“SME”) for all plant accounting issues.
    • Plant Accounting/month end close experience
    • Review daily system generated error reports and ensure proper steps to resolve are being taken at all times.
    • Lead the month end close process for volumes for the group. Ensure all product & locations are properly tied out on a daily / monthly basis.
    • Participate in additional special projects as required.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
    • Lead Maintain and update company changes and address changes in TIPS

     

    Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required

    • Minimum of 8 years work experience desired

    • Strong computer skill set, 10 years of work TIPS experience and related systems

    • Relevant midstream accounting experience (Natural Gas Plant Accounting, TIPS) either as a Lead level accountant or an accounting supervisory role.

    • Understanding of business transactions and appropriate accounting and payables procedures

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.

    • Ability to effectively lead a team and manage projects in a collaborative fast paced team oriented environment

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

    • Expertise with Excel and other Microsoft applications

     Working Conditions:

    1. Usually, normal office working conditions.

    2. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.

    3. Occasional overnight travel may be required.

    4. Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
