Handles player transactions, notifies pit supervisor of any irregularities or disputes that may arise during the game. Being a Poker Dealer may require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Poker Dealer may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job.     Description

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:

    • Provide friendly, fast, and helpful customer service to all guests and team members.
    • Provide accurate and efficient dealing while following proper game procedures.
    • Perform accurate chip and cash transactions.
    • Observe or receive wagers from customers and take or pay the appropriate game outcomes.
    • Maintain game security and protect company assets at all times.
    • Assist customers in understanding the rules and ensure adherence to established policies and procedures.
    • Collect Rake and Promotional Funds
    • Chip Runner
    • May deal in gaming tournaments
    • Notify Table Games Leadership immediately of any irregularities or any customer requests which are outside of a Table Games Dealer's authority or knowledge.
    • Provide customers with information on how to play the game if requested.
    • Must adhere to regulatory, department and company policies.
    • Perform all job duties in a safe and responsible manner.
    • Perform other job related and compatible duties as assigned.

    Qualification Requirements

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.     • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Must successfully complete dealer training or have previous casino dealing experience
    • Must be fast and accurate in handling cash
    • Six months experience in customer service field preferred
    • Must be able to successfully complete an audition displaying adequate Table Games Dealing skills
    • Must be able to quickly and accurately perform mathematical computations when determining winners and losers and collecting and paying out bets
    • Must possess good manual dexterity for quick and accurate handling of chips, cards and money
    • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills
    • Must be able to acquire and maintain appropriate gaming license

    Language Skills

    Ability to read and interpret documents In English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in in English may also be required.

    Mathematical Skills

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Possess ability to operate an adding machine and have basic computer skills.

    REASONING ABILITY

    Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

    Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.

    While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.     The team member must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds, and must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
