Police Patrol Officer jobs in South Carolina

Our police department is currently seeking a Police Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in taking statements, writing police reports, and enforcing traffic laws. We're seeking an adventurous and outgoing individual who has strong leadership skills, a dedication to employee safety and the capacity to develop new procedures. The successful candidate will also be required to take on administrative tasks including issuing parking citations, collecting parking fees and updating the database with new information.

Responsibilities:

• Enforce laws and arrest violators.
• Patrol an assigned area.
• Talk to people to get information.
• Respond to emergency calls.
• Deal with emotionally disturbed people.
• Handle nonemergency requests for police assistance.
• Drive a police cruiser or official vehicle.
• Solicit voluntary compliance with laws of the United States (federal statutes, administrative regulations, federal judicial and agency rulings, state statutes, and local ordinances).
• Deal with impaired drivers.
• Attend court hearings and testify in court as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $45,000.00 per year
