Police Records Clerk maintains the records filing system and/or database used to manage, access, and preserve electronic and paper records of criminal justice activities. Assists in providing accurate and clear information to public and other departments. Being a Police Records Clerk may perform other clerical duties including taking photographs, fingerprints, and answering telephone inquiries. Typically requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Police Records Clerk typically reports to police sergeant or police lieutenant. The Police Records Clerk possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Experience & Requirements
High School graduate or equivalent.
Minimum one-year medical records experience.
Familiarity with the Problem Oriented Medical Record (SOAP) system essential.
A background check, security clearance and drug screening are required for this role.

Responsibilities
Below is a list of your responsibilities as a Medical Records Clerk with YesCare at (Facility Name) located in (City, State) :
Retrieve medical charts for all healthcare staff or clinicians as requested. File daily all in use medical records. Secure all active and inactive medical records.
Release information at the direction of the Medical Records Supervisor, Medical Director or Health Services Administrator.
Answer the telephone, take messages and make telephone calls. Type letters, reports and memorandums.
Maintain a roster or appointment book for all scheduled patient appointments both on and off-site.
Order, receive and maintain office supplies.
Perform other duties as assigned.
