Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Police Sergeant to join our law enforcement agency. The Police Sergeant will be responsible for supervising and leading a squad of officers and dispatchers, ensuring the safety and security of the community, and enforcing laws and regulations.

Responsibilities (non-inclusive):
- Supervise, train, and mentor police officers and dispatchers in daily operations
- Coordinate and assign duties to subordinates
- Oversee investigations, arrests, and emergency situations
- Maintain order and public safety within the jurisdiction
- Conduct patrols and respond to incidents as needed
- Prepare detailed reports on incidents and crashes, activities, and personnel performance

-Complete evaluations for subordinates

Requirements:
- Proven experience in law enforcement with a focus on supervising officers and dispatchers
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage people
- Excellent conflict management and decision-making abilities
- Proficient in report writing and documentation
- First line supervisor training or equivalent
- Possession of a valid driver's license
- OPOTA certification

- In lieu of supervisor experience, a candidate must have five years of full-time police officer experience.

Subject to work day or night shift, holidays, and weekends. Sergeants work twelve-hour shifts, with every other Friday, Saturday and Sunday off.

Pay: $25.50 - $27.50 per hour

Expected hours: 36 – 48 per week
