Polysomnographic Technician under the direction of a physician, administers various sleep studies in order to diagnose the type and extent of sleep disorders. Performs routine patient assessments, scores sleep records, documents other test results, and collects and transmits biological specimens for analysis. Being a Polysomnographic Technician typically requires an associate degree or its equivalent and certification as a Polysomnographic Technician. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. We are hiring an Polysomnographic Technician to join our team!
The technician will perform comprehensive polysomnographic testing and analysis along with associated interventions under the general supervision of a clinical director. Responsible for the sleep studies and communicating with patient and physicians regarding procedural related inquires. The technician will also perform Electroencephalogram testing including preparing the test for reading by a physician. Facility willing to train for EEG.
Qualifications- Successful completion of a polysomnographic program associated with a state licensed and/or a nationally accredited educational facility. Minimum 6 months of polysomnography/healthcare background preferred. Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists registration required within two months of hire.
- CPR/AED certification required
- ACLS certification preferred
- EEG experience preferred but not required
- PRN
- 1 - 2 shifts per week based on availability/needs
- Flexibility and willingness to work independently
- Starting at $24.22 per hour based on experience
