The Printing Press Operator reviews job specifications and complete setup tasks, including filling ink, calibrating machine, and loading stock. Completes print production jobs on various types of printing press machines, including digital, flexographic, web, screen, or others. Being a Printing Press Operator performs in-process quality inspections utilizing standard testing protocols. Conducts visual inspection of samples prior to running job. In addition, Printing Press Operator completes all required production logs and documentation. Interprets equipment diagnostics, troubleshoots breakdowns, and makes necessary adjustments to complete the job. Performs regular maintenance, cleaning, and changeovers of press from one job to another. Maintains a clean and safe workspace. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. Being a Printing Press Operator independently performs a wide range of complex duties under general guidance from supervisors. Introduction: Join our team at Central Moloney as a Press Operator, where you will play a vital role in operating thermoplastic injection molding equipment and thermoset transfer and compression molding equipment. Your dedication to following process procedures ensures the efficiency and quality of our manufacturing processes.- This shift works 3:30 pm - 2 am, Monday - Thursday. Training may be conducted from 5 am - 3:30 pm. Please note these times and your availability before applying. Thanks! ***
- Operate thermoplastic injection molding equipment and thermoset transfer and compression molding equipment according to written process procedures.
- Monitor and record data related to presses and associated equipment as required for some jobs.
- Inspect parts for cosmetic flaws and perform tasks such as de-gating, de-flashing, patching, and transporting to specific work centers.
- Complete production cards detailing gross production, rejects, and part numbers, adhering to posted production schedules.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area, adhering to housekeeping standards.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines at all times.
- Handle materials efficiently and safely during the production process.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in operating molding equipment preferred.
- Ability to follow written instructions and process procedures meticulously.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure the quality of manufactured parts.
- Basic math skills for recording production data accurately.
- Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and supervisors.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Competitive pay starting at $17 per hour (Subject to increase depending on experience).
