Print Production Coordinator jobs in Washington
Print Production Coordinator initiates requests for competitive bids and negotiates with vendors and suppliers to perform print jobs for direct mail, seasonal promotions, sales collateral, and other printed media. Prepares estimates and cost analysis reports for internal budget approval. Being a Print Production Coordinator coordinates and prioritizes print production schedules and print specifications. Reviews all artwork and copy prior to delivery to printers for accuracy and formats. Additionally, Print Production Coordinator reviews and approves mock-ups and proofs, performs final quality assurance. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Print Production Coordinator occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. About The Role
The Cutter Operator works in the cutting area of the bindery department to set up, program, and operate the paper cutting machinery.
Do you have experience operating machines in a manufacturing setting? Are you looking to learn new skills? This is a great job for anyone with mechanical aptitude who wants to enter a new industry. Binder/print experience is a plus.

- Operate paper cutter to cut and trim blank stock and printed material that is to be further processed in the Pressroom or Bindery.
- Set stops or guides to specified length as indicated by scale, rule, or template.
- Position workpiece against stops or aligns layout marks with die or blade.
- Observe machine operation to detect workpiece defects or machine malfunction.
- Measure workpiece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation.
- Set up and performs maintenance on machines.
- Set automatic cutting programs into machines
- Perform preventative maintenance on paper cutting machinery such as blade replacement, lubrication, and waxing.
- Use lift truck to carry pallets with blank stock and printed paper from loading area to Press area, and from Press area to Bindery
- Detect and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
- At least two (2) years of related experience in a Bindery environment.
- Experience on Polar and ITOH cutters.
- Preferred experience on Stall and MBO cutters.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
- This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day.
- The employee must frequently lift or move items over 70 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- This position is frequently exposed to noise – hearing protection (PPE) must be worn.

- Flexibility in work hours may be required
This position works on the production floor in an industrial warehouse setting.- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
