Privacy Director directs and develops the organization's privacy strategy, including policies, procedures, and initiatives. Being a Privacy Director incorporates regulatory changes into the organization's processes. Plans and directs privacy training programs and communications. Additionally, Privacy Director ensures that compliance monitoring, auditing, and remediation are effective. Leads research and prepares communications in response to privacy-related events or consumer, government, or media inquiries. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Privacy Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Privacy Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.   • The Director position is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to help build a program from the ground up with support from an enthusiastic, supportive Board. The Director will oversee the daily operations and program administration of the LSCC and manage a staff of four full time educators, two part-time staff and substitutes. This role is 40% program administration and 60% teacher. Experience with both is preferred. Start up tasks will include but not be limited to: developing the center's core curriculum, helping with the recruitment process for new staff members, assisting with developing policies and procedures for the center, creating an emergency plan and determining classroom supply and educational material needs. Daily tasks will include but not be limited to: maintaining enrollment and attendance reporting for Vermont's state financial assistant program, assuring supplies are stocked and available for each classroom each day, general supervisory duties for staff members, and five hours of direct care. Lastly, it is the goal of the LSCC Board for our center to earn at least four STARS (https://dcf.vermont.gov/cdd/providers/care/STARS) from the State of Vermont, to become a quality rated center as soon as possible. The guidance and expertise of the Director is paramount to success. The ideal candidate is organized, approachable, and works and leads in a collaborative manner. Job Requirements: Must be at least 21 years of age with a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field. Must have 2 years of experience working with young children and supervising staff. Must meet one of the three criteria:

    • Have a Vermont Early Childhood and Afterschool Program Director Step One Certificate.
    • Successful completion of a three credit college course in curriculum and a three credit college course in program management for early care and education.
    • Successful completion of a three credit college course in curriculum and a three credit college course in staff supervision related to early care and education of children. Must submit to Fingerprinting and pass a state background check. Additionally, maintain a clean record. Must enjoy and support daily outdoor experiences.
