Process Engineering Technician provides technical support to engineers to ensure production goals of the organization are met. Provides assistance related to the review of existing and design of new manufacturing equipment, processes, and plants. Being a Process Engineering Technician may suggest or implement equipment purchases, modifications or calibration changes that could result in improved productivity or reduced costs related to production. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Process Engineering Technician typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Process Engineering Technician may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. GS-11: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-10 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Reviewing, assessing and resolving complex and diverse construction and design problems encountered during the performance of projects assigned; 2) Assisting the construction engineer on technical situations requiring extensive knowledge of engineering practices and construction methods; 3) Reviewing project plans and specifications prior to contract award for technical soundness, compliance with requirements and to determine practicability from a construction management standpoint; 4) Utilizing construction project scheduling software to track the progress of assigned projects. NOTE: This information must be supported in your resume to be considered for the position.
